Beautiful Disaster

Do you know the song by 3-11 that's called Beautiful Disaster? Well, the title fits my daughter beautifully. She is the biggest girly-girl you'll ever meet, but has to do whatever you don't want her to do, at the same time. Like riding Batman scooters, into puddles of water, while wearing her Sleeping Beauty dress. I had a woman from our ward come up to me one Sunday and say, "When I saw a little fairy with wings, wearing cowboy boots, it made my day." That's my baby! She has me wrapped so tight around her finger, I don't know if I'll ever get loose. Robert too! The pics above are of her pouting because I called her in for dinner. "Oh heaven forbid we have to eat! Can't we just play into the wee hours of the morning? I'm so picked on!!" That's my little drama queen. I had to snap pics of her dissolving into tears over it. I'm such a bad Mom to make my kids eat. LOL.

Life is so hard when you're a Princess!!!

Wave Running

We went to Pineview on a Saturday in August. Can't remember the date. I love the picture of Kari and I with our heads together. I love my sisser! Don't worry Emi, I love my other little sisser too! We had so much fun on the wave runners. Robert and I would like to get a couple. The kids love wave running. Okay, this big kid loves it too. Isn't the picture of Paige with her muddy hands cute?!?! She's such a little spitfire. I love talking to her on the phone and everything about her. Brook and her love each other. And speaking of Brook, isn't she so darned beautiful?!?! I love this picture of her.

My Big Little Boy

Braden is in Cub Scouts now and he loves it. At first he didn't think he'd like it but after the first few times, he was excited about going. My baby is sooooo big. He still kisses and hugs his Mommy. I told him that he can't ever stop doing that. I don't embarrass him in public though. Well, not all the time.

Dust and Dirt

Can't remember which weekend in August we went 4-wheelin, but it was fun! We went to Mantaway, by Brigham, with the Holkers. I'm kind of a big wuss so some of the bigger dips made me nervous. I don't like to have less than 4 wheels off the ground. The trails were pretty rocky too. It was really fun though! We ate lunch in a clearing, under a tree, with a herd of cows wanting our spot. I'm serious! They were like staring at us the whole time. Brook is so funny! She watched Amber go into the trees with some toilet paper and said she wanted to go potty. I took her into a little area and explained things and she wasn't having it. She said she wanted to go potty in the bathroom, where Amber went. I tried to explain and told her I'd help her and it was just fine. She decided that she didn't need to go potty anymore. LOL! We were covered in dust. I think I used 4 wet wipes just to get the dust off my own face. We all had baths and then were lazy the rest of the day. When we woke up the next day, Robert and I were so sore. We popped ibuprofen and traded the hot pad back and forth. All in all, we had a blast!

Friends

I've made some great friends at work! Yes, even at the IRS, you can find good people. Lol. Lifelong friendships have been made, and I'm very thankful for them. We had an employee training day at the Ogden Marriott Hotel. It was good to see my friends from swing shift. we went to lunch together. The classes were fun, but the keynote speaker was amazing. Her name is Jill Stevens. What an awesome woman!! You can read more about her and her experiences in Afghanistan at http://www.army.mil/gijill/. We had our picture taken with her. Miss Utah is the one in the gray pantsuit. I know you thought it was the one in the green and blue striped shirt, so I thought I'd make sure you knew. Lol.

North Ogden Aquatic Center

I love this photo of my babies! It was taken at North Shore Aquatic Center in North Ogden. We went at the end of July with all the Hansen/Wright cousins. It was alot of fun! Braden is getting better with water. Brook needs some more swimming lessons and hates water in her eyes. I got the greatest pics of Braden going into and coming out of the water. It's hilarious to watch cuz the second he comes up, he starts blowing out all this air and wiping his eyes. It's good stuff!

Playing Catch Up

If Kari thinks she's officially the worst blogger, she's wrong! I'm the worst! Now I'm gonna play catch up so there's gonna be a bunch. I hate playing catch up because then you feel rushed and can't write everything you want to or put more pics on. Oh well. It's my fault. Since the week before school, it's all I can do to find time to breathe. Lol. So I'm gonna break up the next few into events to make it easier on myself. Here goes...

Hello World!!

K so I haven't been on the ball with my blog lately. I've been busy at work and at home and I just can't find the time or words to blog. So I'm saying hi and bye and see ya soon. Oh! One thing of import. In March, we're going on a 7-day Mexican Riviera cruise with Royal Caribbean cruise lines. We're going with 4 other couples from our neighborhood who all have our 10-year anniversary next year. Good thing we get along with the couples and they're all really fun to be around. Anyway, check ya later!
